Dear colleagues,
I bring to your attention two job openings in atomic and molecular physics at the IAEA.
Details of the positions are available on the IAEA page:
http://recruitment.iaea.org/phf/p_vacancies.asp
The P4 position is the Unit Head position which I currently hold. I will be retiring in July 2009 so the position will have a possible starting date of August 2009.
The P3 position is currently held by Denis Humbert who will have been at the IAEA for 7 years (the limit the IAEA sets on time in a position here) in September 2009, so that position will have a possible start date of October 2009.
Working at the IAEA is an interesting and rewarding experience which I highly recommend. There are many opportunities for collaboration and exposure to many areas of fusion energy research. There is time to continue some fusion related research with colleagues and to attend international conferences.
The jobs also include organization of a number of meetings held at IAEA headquarters in Vienna every year on a variety of data topics including atomic, molecular and plasma-surface interactions. The Unit maintains extensive numerical and bibliographic databases in support of fusion and publishes a number of documents related to data for fusion research.
I encourage applications to these two positions. If you are not interested in the positions, please consider informing colleagues of these openings.
Best regards,
Bob Clark
